4 Days from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – The Kasbah Aitbenhadou – Rose Vally – Dades Gorge
You get collected from Marrakech at 8am, A 4×4 drive towards the High Atlas range, stops along the Tizi Ntichka pass (2260 Meters) while admiring the superb views of the Berber villages and green vallys, a visit and tour the world heritage site of Aitbenhadou (a background of about 20 Inter Films such as Gladiator and Lawrance of Arabia), lunch at the spot, a drive to Ourzazat to see the Atlas Studios, carry on to Skoura which one of the largest oasis in Morocco, some 80,000 Palm Tree, a small walk at the oasis, drive to the Rose vally, maybe a stop to buy some rose supplies being the cheapest area in Morocco, get transported further to Dades Gorge via The Thousand Kasbahs Route and Dades Vally, hotel overnight stay (private room with private bathroom and shower).
Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Vally/Gorge – Merzouga and the dunes of Erg Chebbi – Camel Ride + 2 Nights in the Desert.
Leave Dades Gorge at 9am, a stop at the Monkey Fingers Vally, a panoramic view at Dades Vally, a drive to Todra Vally and Todra Gorge, stops along the vally, you might see local women down in the fields, a nice walk at Todra Gorge, a very famous place for the rock climbing, get transported further to the Sahara Desert, stop for lunch, check in at the hostel in Merzouga to get changed and leave your stuff, An Hour and a Half camel ride thru the Golden Sand dunes, a nice spot for the sunset, dinner in the Desert, tent overnight stay (private tent with bedding provided) you can upgrade to luxury tents with 30 Euros pp extra with private bath and shower.
Day 3: The Dunes of Erg Chebbi – The Hidden Oasis – The Nomads – The Sandboarding and More Camel Riding.
Early morning wake up to watch the sunrise over the dunes, breakfast at the camp, an hour and a half camel ride thru the dunes to a oasis in the Desert, Sandboarding the dunes or maybe just a walk to see these massive sand dunes, lunch at the oasis, a break under the trees, another an hour and a half camel ride to the Nomads for the overnight stay, dinner by the Nomad Family and overnight stay.
Day 4: Merzouga – Alnif – Boumalen Dades – Ourzazat – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Early morning wake up to watch the sunrise in the Desert, an hour and a half camel ride back to the hostel, breakfast at the hostel with the possibility to shower, drive back to Ourzazat and Over the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, with stops along either for breaks, bathrooms and lunch, drop off at around 7pm
